New England KM III Static Kernmantle Rescue Rope

A superior handling rescue lifeline, New England Ropes KM III static, kernmantle rope features a composite construction of nylon and polyester fibers. KM III has a weight-balanced construction with the sheath and the core each representing 50% of the total weight. The rope is torque-balanced to eliminate any spin during a rappel. The continuous filament polyester sheath is braided over a continuous nylon fiber core. This provides excellent handling and knot-holding characteristics, as well as rugged protection from abrasion and cutting. The polyester sheath provides added protection for ultraviolet light and from chemicals that are harmful to nylon. The polyester sheath also reduces the strength loss and weight gain that occurs when nylon absorbs water.

New England Ropes Accessory Cords

Flexible and easily knotted, these special purpose nylon utility cords have a torque-free, high-strength, kernmantle construction. The smaller sizes make excellent boot laces and tag lines. The larger sizes can be used for tag lines, chock slings, or Prusik Hitches.

PMI 12.5 mm is the classic 6,6 nylon line for any rugged or harsh environment. High abrasion resistance makes this the toughest rope for any professional.

Dynamic Prusik cord was introduced by Bluewater to provide an added load absorbing element as part of a complete system. These use specific cords have a firm, yet supple hand and will hold higher loads before slippage than traditional accessory cords. Comes in 6.5mm, 7mm and 8mm.
