This course provides simple First Aid & CPR techniques taught in an interactive environment, for individuals who want an overview of First Aid & CPR for the home or workplace. The course covers skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies for adults, CPR Level A, and other topics such as choking, airway and breathing emergencies and prevention of disease transmission.
This course provides comprehensive First Aid & CPR techniques for those who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies in the home or workplace. A variety of topics are covered from basic first aid such as cardiovascular and breathing emergencies, CPR Level A, prevention of disease transmission to more severe sudden medical conditions and injuries to the head and spine.
This course is designed to provide various levels of CPR training based on participant’s background, needs and interest. A presentation on how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (and certification) is also provided with the course where local legislation permits. Levels A, B, C and HCP available depending on the skills needed.

This course includes 2005 First Aid & CPR Guidelines and meets OHS regulations for Standard First Aid.
Comprehensive First Aid & CPR training for individuals who need training for child care or early childhood education work, or who simply want more knowledge to respond to babies’ and children’s injuries and emergencies at home. The course covers a variety of topics from basic first aid such as cardiovascular emergencies, CPR Level B, choking, airway and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission to more in-depth topics such as sudden medical conditions and injuries to the head and spine.
The OFA 3 program integrates the latest medical assessments, techniques and interventions for the first aid provider. Candidates are taught the use of a variety of safety devices and techniques for emergency situations and rescue. Candidates are taught these new skills using the latest educational strategies and multi-media tools. (70 hours)
The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Program provides candidates with the initial steps in pre-hospital care education. The program includes learning a systematic approach to patient assessment as well as pre-hospital treatment for various medical and traumatic injuries. The course also covers rescue scene assessment, basic anatomy, EMR level treatments & protocols, and written and verbal communication skills. (13 days)
Our basic level of Wilderness & Remote First Aid & CPR is for individuals who recreate or live in isolated or wilderness settings and need to respond to emergencies when advanced care is not immediately available. The course covers material in Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR plus special material on techniques for wilderness and remote areas as well as offers strategies to provide extended care for up to 24 hours.
